CREATION
After I developed an understanding of the terrain of this application, I would have to say the easiest part about setting up my Wix account would be the use of the preview function. It was very beneficial to be able to open up a view of what readers will be able to see. It allowed one to tweak every detail of their ePortfolio so that it is user friendly and aesthetically pleasing. Things that we all know are a MUST in today’s fast paced society.
In the beginning, I fumbled around the editor website like a lost child. I did not understand how to create this web page. Then I did something most unusual for my generation, I took a few minutes to read through the documentation provided by Dr. Beck. After which, I had a much better understanding about the expectations and procedures for this ePortfolio.
In regards to the professional aspect of this ePortfolio, I do believe that this has been achieved on some level. The color pallet was specifically chosen to give the perception of traits that are desired by employers. The shades of blue were selected to display maturity, reliability, and professionalism. The simplicity of the layout will not distract from the information that is being conveyed. I expect that I will be expanding on the Resume section of my ePortfolio. I have a commitment to the Navy for six years after graduation. For this reason, I have not built and maintained a Resume over the years. The Resume that I have complied is a first edition as a requirement for this project. I plan to take this time allotted and invest it into grooming my Resume for the future.
At this stage, I do not have any questions that come to mind about the ePortfolio project. I expect that as we progress in Dr. Beck's COMM 302 class that this will change. At which time, I plan to refer those questions to the documentation provided concerning the assignments and my trusty friend Google.
